eurasian tree sparrow.
Birds! Not really good at photographing birds as i do not possess the 'know how' and expensive canggih equipment that most birders have. They make great subjects though. Most of these were shot with my humble 40-150mm telephoto. Thanks Pam, Carol, Mo and MNS for helping me id these birds!
little heron
javan myna
brown shrike
painted storks
oh no....
white morph ashy drongo
collard kingfishers
little spiderhunter
black-naped oriole
hoya pubicalyx.
From bud to flowers.
i took this series of shots of my hoya every 2 to 3 days. It's amazing the way it morphs into a beautiful ball of flowers...smells great too.
How'd i get myself into this....?
...but i guess a pact is a pact, so there!
"Later, Cat....."
For 12 years, i shouted out these words to Moggie everytime i left the apartment. It was my way of telling her i was going out and would be back in a bit. I uttered those words to her for the last time on Friday, 12th January 2007 at 2.55pm when i put my best friend to rest.
No matter how hard i braced myself for that day, i completely fell apart when the call came in that morning, as i was getting ready for work. For the first time in my life i felt completely helpless. My Moggie was never coming home. I understood then how impossible it is to handle a loss alone. I prayed for help and strength. It came in a form of a Divemuster and a Ladyhawk. I thank you both from the bottom of my heart for helping me with all that i couldn't that day. Thank you everybody, far and near, who helped in your own caring way...your thoughts, prayers, comments in moggiesworld, posts in Your blogs, calls, messages, visits to UPM. It meant a lot to Moggie and i. Thank you, Dr.Cheng and your wonderful team for doing all that you could for Moggie.
Wrapped up in her favourite cloth and towel and placed in a box, i brought Moggie back home. She had been away from her home for almost 2 months. I carried her to all her favourite places....her favourite hiding spots, her own bathroom and toilet, favourite sleeping and basking spots, favourite plants, her bench, personal stairs to her feeding spot. Moggie now rests in a cozy corner of the jungle where i live. I can see her resting spot from my 15th floor every morning when i water the plants. Divemuster posted a beautiful visual of it in his blog, http://cybershack.blogspot.com .
Words cannot express how much i miss you, my dear friend. Thank you for being my best buddy. You are in good hands now.
