We've lost one of the main pillars in our orchid industry today. Not many may know this but a lot of our world famous orchid hybrids were the creative genius of this humble man.
Thank you for everything, Lum Hon.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to Ms.Tai and family.

Lum Hon was a low profile yet highly successful orchid hybridizer,quietly producing world
famous hybrids so that others can make millions out of his creations.
Mokara Chark Kuan,Aranda Chark Kuan,Vanda Dr.Siti Hasmah,Kagawara Christie Low,Vanda Mas Los Angeles..are just a few of his world class creations.Even without formal education,he was able to do tissue culture for orchids and the only person i know doing large scale cultivation of orchids in vitro for the industry.His passing had left a huge void which is hard to be filled.He is one of the best personnality i know being humble,
honest,fair and very easy to deal with.We will never forget his contributions to the orchid indust-
ry and many new orchid hybrids will be named in memory of this great man.
