In the middle of a conversation, Ngah jumped up, ran ahead and signaled for me to come over to where he was. pointing to what i thought was just a whole lot of lalang, he kept saying, "there there, lizard!". using my 300mm lens, i was still blind to what he was seeing and laughing about. it must have been a good minute before i spotted a beautiful green crested lizard munching on a bug. much later that day i asked him how he knew it was there. apparently he saw the bug land in the middle of the lalang and heard a rustling sound, so it must have been a predator catching it for a meal. (sigh!) i have a lot to learn.......
