Hanging out at the Zoo. (Pt.2) - Snakes.

Why are we so often misunderstood,
Is it because we slither or have a hood,
We don't bite for fun, we only defend,
Just like your pet cat or 'man's best friend'.

So before you hunt us, for fear, food or skin,
Just spare us a thought, we're really not mean,
When HE created us, I'm sure HE had a bigger purpose,
Than to be put on a plate, boots or a purse.
